General Rules & Regulations
- All performance videos must be submitted by the due date for every round. Late submissions will not be accepted.
- The entire video presentation should be done in one seating.
- The video and audio should be in the original form. Any edited, post-processed audio/video will be disqualified.
- Each contestant agrees that Rungmunch has the right to use their names, likenesses, and images of all persons performing for future advertising, promotion, and publicity in any manner and in any medium now known or hereafter devised in perpetuity. All personal details and information requested by Rungmunch by each contestant must be truthful, accurate, and in no way misleading. Rungmunch reserves the discretion to investigate and disqualify any contestant, should the contestant at any stage of the event supply untruthful, inaccurate, or misleading personal details and/or information, or should the contestant be ineligible for the competition pursuant to these rules.
- By submitting personal information for registration, all participants acknowledge that they have read through the competition Rules & Regulations and consent to allow the Organizing Committee to use all personal information for administrative purposes and data analysis. All personal data provided will be kept confidential at all times.
- Entries will be considered ineligible if at the sole discretion of the Rungmunch, they do not follow the directions described in these Official Rules, or if they contain language or images that are in any way threatening, abusive, offensive, defamatory, invasive of another’s privacy, in breach of confidence, embarrassing to any person or likely to deceive any person, hateful, blasphemous, pornographic, or racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable or which constitutes or encourages conduct that would be considered a criminal offense or otherwise contrary to any law or appear contrary to the spirit of the Contest.
- All decisions and interpretations regarding the contest, its rules, and the selection of the winner remain with the judges, Rungmunch, its agents, and representatives are final.
- COPYRIGHT. Rungmunch and those acting with its authority, shall have the unrestricted, absolute, perpetual, worldwide right and license to use Participant’s name, address, photograph, likeness, voice, biographical and personal background information, statements, Contest entry, and any writing, photo, video, or other work submitted as part of the Contest entry, and, without limitation, any notes, photograph, film, or video or audio tape that may be taken of Entrant or of such materials (the foregoing, collectively, the “Content”), without compensation, consideration, or notice or permission to Entrant or to any third party, and to reproduce, copy, modify, create derivative works of, display, perform, exhibit, distribute, transmit or broadcast, publicly or otherwise, or otherwise use and permit to be used the Content or any part thereof, whether alone or in combination with other materials (including but not limited to text, data, images, photographs, illustrations, and graphics, video or audio segments of any nature), in any media or embodiment now known or hereafter developed (including but not limited to any format of any computer-based, Internet-based, electronic, magnetic, digital, laser or optical-based media), in connection with any Sponsor (or its designee’s) advertising, promotion, publicity, trade, sweepstakes or contest promotions, activities, or materials.
- The participant agrees that Rungmunch reserves right to use content submitted for marketing and publicity of the contest.
- Once submitted, the performance can not be resubmitted.
- Semi final round will be SEMI LIVE. All contestants will be given opprtunity to hear judges feedback about their song.
- Final Round will be LIVE. All contestants will have to sing LIVE in front of all judges.
Classical
Classical
- Presentation of a Hindustani Classical Raag in the form of a Chota khayal or Tarana or Dhrupad
- All participants are expected to make their own accompaniment arrangements. As per COVID 19 guidelines as per their respective country
- A minimum of Taanpuraa (electronic or real) AND Tabla (electronic or real) must be used for a performance.
- Karaoke is not allowed
- ALL rules specified in General section are applicable to this category as well
Semi Classical
Semi Classcial
- Presentation of Bhajan , Gazal, Tappa, Thumri, Sufi etc. (Non-Bollywood songs)
- All participants are expected to make their own accompaniment arrangements. As per COVID 19 guidelines as per their respective country
- A minimum of Taanpuraa (electronic or real) AND Tabla (electronic or real) must be used for a performance.
- Karaoke is not allowed
- ALL rules specified in General section are applicable to this category as well
Bollywood
Bollywood
- All contestants can sing on karaoke tracks or live band (subject to COVID-19 rules)
- Rungmunch is NOT responsible to provide karaoke tracks
- Rungmunch is NOT responsible for quality of karaoke tracks
- Rungmunch is NOT responsible for any copyright/legal issue related to karaoke tracks
- Contestants can choose to sing any song from Bollywood movie
- A medley of songs is not allowed in any rounds.
- ALL rules specified in General section are applicable to this category as well
